A Visual Legacy of South Africa’s Most Beautiful Drive
Some event memorabilia is kept.
Some is framed.
Some becomes part of the story.
Over the first five years of The Cape 1000, the official event poster has evolved into far more than a promotional piece. It has become a sought-after annual collectible — a visual record of the spirit, style and emotion of each edition of the event.
What makes the collection especially distinctive is that it has never followed a single formula. Across those first five years, four different designers have each brought their own creative language to the Cape 1000, giving every poster a unique identity while still honouring the same central idea: the romance of the road, the beauty of South Africa, and the timeless appeal of the motor car.
Together, these posters now form a growing archive of Cape 1000 history — one that reflects not only the event itself, but the changing artistic interpretations of what the event means.
